Jesus or Mary Dan Corner [Permission is granted to duplicate this article in its entirety, but only without additions, alterations or omissions of any kind, including the author, ministry name and address at the end. Nothing may be removed from this page including links to other pages.] For many the question is: Jesus or Mary? This problem exists because the Roman Catholic church has fabricated a Mary, which in many cases is a carbon copy or a very close resemblance to the Lord Jesus and/or what he has uniquely accomplished for us. By unscripturally exalting their mythical Mary in this manner, not only has glory, confidence and devotion been taken away from the Lord Jesus, but it has often been replaced with devotion to and reliance upon the Mary of Catholicism for various things, including salvation. Hence, this fabrication has led to a false plan of salvation, and with it, idolatry. Below are 24 comparisons between the fabricated and non-existent Mary of Catholicism and the one and only precious Lord Jesus. Jesus was sinless (2 Cor. 5:21; etc.) Jesus resurrected bodily (Jn. 2:19-21; etc.) Jesus is our hope of glory (Col. 1:27) Jesus is the head of the church (Eph. 5:23) Jesus, the last Adam (1 Cor. 15:45) Jesus a man of sorrows (Isa. 53:3) Jesus, the Redeemer (1 Pet. 1:18,19) Jesus, the way to the Father (Jn. 14:6) Jesus our only mediator (1 Tim. 2:5) Jesus, King of Kings (Rev. 19:16) Jesus, prince of peace (Isa. 9:6) Jesus, our advocate (1 John 2:1) Jesus, our Life (Col. 3:4) Jesus, our Hope (1 Tim. 1:1) Jesus prayed to at hour of our death (Acts 7:59,60) Jesus has all power in heaven/earth (Mt. 28:18) Jesus is the Morning Star (Rev. 22:16) Jesus is our helper (Heb. 13:6) Jesus is our Rock (1 Cor. 10:4) Jesus is the gate to Heaven (Jn. 10:7) Jesus crushed the serpent’s head (Gen. 3:15) Jesus crowned with thorns (Jn. 19:5) Jesus the Son of God (Lk. 22:70) Jesus is prayed to (Jn. 14:14 cf. Acts 7:59) Mary is said to be immaculately conceived and sinless Mary is said to be assumed into heaven bodily Mary is said to be Queen of Glory Mary is said to be the Mother of the Church Mary is said to be the second Eve Mary is said to be our Lady of Sorrows Mary is said to be co-redeemer Mary is said to be "the way" to God Mary is said to be the mediatrix of all graces Mary is said to be Queen of Heaven Mary is said to be Queen of Peace Mary is said to be our most gracious advocate Mary is said to be our Life Mary is said to be our Hope Mary is prayed to at hour of death Mary is said to be Sovereign Mary is said to be Morning Star Mary is said to be our helper Mary is said to be our rock Mary is said to be Gate of Heaven Mary is said to be the one who crushed the serpent’s head Mary is said to be crowned with stars Mary is called the Mother of God Mary is prayed to The reader must know it is NOT Jesus or Mary because: (1) The Mary of the Bible is not the Mary of Catholicism and (2) Salvation is only found in Jesus—without Mary. To exalt Mary because she gave birth to Jesus is the make the same mistake the woman made in Jesus' day which he openly rebuked and corrected for her sake and for all others to make note of: As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, "Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you." He replied, "Blessed RATHER are those who hear the word of God and obey it." (Luke 11:27,28) The real mother of Jesus is a F-A-R cry from the Mary of Catholicism. It is to one's eternal loss to look to her and trust in her for anything, especially salvation, according to the Bible. This is very serious and will effect your eternal destiny. Go by the Bible and you'll be safe. Deviate from the Scriptures and you will be lethally deceived. The choice remains yours - Jesus or Mary. The difference is as great as heaven is from the lake of fire. GOD BLESS YOU.
